Counselling
Individuals experiencing mental health concerns have the ability, with therapeutic support, to uncover underlying issues, identify factors which contribute to and perpetuate those issues, and develop long-term coping skills.
Integral to one’s healing is being heard and understood in a comfortable and trusting space, working through one’s problems and finding a path forward. Drawing on evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and mindfulness techniques, my therapeutic approach is flexible, client-centred, strengths-based and solution-focused.
Therapeutic needs experienced by my clients include:
Low mood, feeling sad or down
Anxiety and social withdrawal
Impaired concentration or confused thinking
Reduced self-esteem
Extreme mood swings
Angry or hostile behaviours
Body image issues
Relationship challenges
Fatigue and low energy
Loss of appetite
Problems sleeping
Inability to cope with daily stress or problems
